Our History

Founded in 2025 and rooted in engineering excellence, ScanCore LLC was born from the intersection of manufacturing leadership and hands-on construction experience.

After years of working as an engineer and rising through the ranks to Plant Manager, our founder transitioned into the world of selective demolition—gaining firsthand insight into the critical role of safety, accuracy, and preparation on construction sites. It was during this time, working closely with GPR scanning professionals, that the potential of subsurface scanning became clear: fewer surprises, fewer setbacks, and far safer job sites.

That realization, combined with a passion for precision and operational excellence, led to the formation of ScanCore LLC. Together with a trusted field operations leader—an experienced supervisor with deep expertise in earthwork and job site execution—we’re building a team that understands what it takes to deliver reliable results under pressure.

From our home base in Monroe, NC, we’re committed to supporting contractors across the Carolinas with cutting-edge scanning and core drilling services that protect people, infrastructure, and reputations.

Dupree Simmons

President

With a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from LSU and a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Dupree brings over a decade of experience leading manufacturing operations across multiple industries. From engineering roles to Plant Manager, his leadership has always centered on safety, precision, and continuous improvement. His transition into construction and selective demolition sparked a deep appreciation for the power of GPR scanning—a tool he now uses to help clients minimize risk and maximize project efficiency. When he’s not on-site or planning the next phase of ScanCore’s growth, Dupree enjoys riding motorcycles and exploring off-road trails on his ATV.

Chris Loveland

Vice President of Operations

Chris is a seasoned operations leader with years of hands-on experience managing earthwork crews and delivering results in high-demand construction environments. Known for his calm approach and deep field knowledge, Chris ensures that every ScanCore project runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule. He is a natural problem-solver and an expert at coordinating crews to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. Outside of work, Chris is a devoted family man who enjoys hunting, boating, and riding ATVs through the Carolinas’ backwoods.
